4 ton of Gas Fired Waste Heat Recovery Steam Boiler Used for a Textile Enterprise in the Bangladesh

As the world's second-largest exporter of textiles, Bangladesh's textile industry contributes 14% of the country's GDP and 84% of its exports that make it the core pillar of the country's economy. However, local textile enterprises have long faced two challenges: high energy costs and intensified environmental pressures. On the one hand, Bangladesh's power supply is tight, and industrial electricity relies on diesel generators or high priced electricity from the grid. The printing, dyeing, drying and other processes in textile production require a large amount of steam. Traditional coal-fired boilers not only have fuel costs accounting for 25% -30% of production costs, but also suffer from low thermal efficiency (generally below 80%). On the other hand, local textile companies will face the risk of export restrictions if they are unable to reduce carbon emissions  with the implementation of international environmental policies such as the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). A medium-sized textile factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh reached this cooperation with Xinli Boiler on a Q20460-3.6-1.05 waste heat receovery steam boile who has 2 printing and dyeing production lines and 3 spinning production lines with a daily steam demand of about 18 tons. Previously, the factory used 2 coal-fired steam boilers with a capacity of 4 tons per hour to supply steam. Not only did it consume about 12 tons of coal per da with a fuel cost of up to 12000$ US/day , but it also received multiple rectification notices from local environmental protection departments due to excessive dust content and sulfur dioxide emissions in boiler exhaust. To address the dual challenges of energy and environmental protection, the textile enterprise decided to introduce waste heat recovery technology to replace traditional coal-fired boilers. Xinli Boiler's technical team designed the Q20460-3.6-1.05 waste heat recovery steam boiler as the core equipment based on multiple verifications to this industry, the factory production needs and local working conditions.

 

As far as we know, the printing and dyeing production line of the textile factory is equipped with two 10 ton/hour natural gas heating and shaping machines, which generate a large amount of high-temperature exhaust gas during operation. Previously, these exhaust gases were directly discharged through chimneys that cause huge waste of heat energy. The design parameters of the Q20460-3.6-1.05 waste heat recovery steam boiler customized by Xinli Boiler for customers can perfectly match this operating condition: its rated evaporation capacity is 4 tons/hour, rated steam pressure is 1.05MPa, rated steam temperature is 184 ℃, and the heating surface area and flue gas flow resistance of the boiler have been optimized, which can efficiently recover the heat energy in the tail gas of the shaping machine, heat the cold water to saturated steam, and fully meet the steam demand of the production line. This boiler's heating surface is made of ND steel material, which has stronger resistance to high temperature corrosion and dew point corrosion, and can cope with the problem of flue gas corrosion in high temperature environments. It is also equipped with a PLC intelligent control system, which can achieve automatic adjustment of water level, pressure, temperature, as well as automatic alarm and shutdown protection for faults such as overpressure and water shortage, thereby reducing the intensity of manual operation and the difficulty of operation and maintenance. This Q20460-3.6-1.05 series waste heat recovery steam boiler from Xinli Boiler does not require the consumption of fossil fuels and only generates steam by recovering industrial exhaust waste heat while can achieve zero fuel consumption and zero carbon emissions (only emitting clean exhaust gas after cooling, with flue gas temperature reduced to below 120  in compliance with Bangladesh's Industrial Pollution Control Regulations) compared with traditional coal-fired boilers.
