The customer is a local spice processing enterprise in Ghana, specializing in the production of traditional Ghanaian spices (e.g., ginger powder, chili flakes, curry blends) for both domestic and West African regional markets. The enterprise must comply with Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) hygiene standards and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emission regulations. With the expansion of its export business, the customer faced three core challenges with its existing steam equipment:

  • The original coal-fired boiler had inefficient combustion, failing to stably supply 1.0MPa steam required for spice sterilization (121℃) and drying processes, leading to inconsistent product quality;
  • Coal-fired emissions (SO₂, particulate matter) exceeded Ghana’s EPA limits, risking operational shutdowns;
  • Ghana is rich in agricultural waste resources , and the customer sought equipment that could fully utilize local wood pellets to reduce fuel costs.

The fuel combustion efficiency reaches ≥95%, eliminating coking and slagging issues, and ensuring stable operation with local supplies.
  • Environmental Compliance Meets Ghanaian Standards: Equipped with a multi-stage dust removal system (cyclone + bag filter) and low-nitrogen combustion technology, achieving emissions of particulate matter ≤30mg/Nm³, SO₂ ≤50mg/Nm³, and NOₓ ≤100mg/Nm³—fully complying with Ghana EPA’s industrial emission regulations, no additional environmental protection equipment required.
  • Stable Steam Supply for Spice Processing: Rated evaporation capacity of 1 ton/hour and rated pressure of 1.25MPa, stably outputting saturated steam at 194℃. The PLC intelligent control system enables precise temperature adjustment (±2℃), meeting the diverse steam needs of spice processing (e.g., 121℃ for high-temperature sterilization, 80-100℃ for low-temperature drying), ensuring uniform product moisture content and extended shelf life.
  • Efficient Energy Saving and Localized Adaptation: Thermal efficiency ≥88%, reducing fuel consumption by 15-20% compared to the customer’s original coal-fired boiler. Adapted to Ghana’s 380V three-phase power supply and tropical climate—optimized heat dissipation structure and corrosion-resistant materials ensure reliable operation in high-temperature (up to 40℃) and humid environments.
  • Easy Operation for Local Maintenance: Simplified control panel with English operation interface and clear instructions, reducing training costs for local staff. The boiler’s robust structure and standardized spare parts facilitate easy maintenance and replacement in Ghana.
