1. Sudden drop in steam boiler load

  (1) The steam flow rate drops sharply and the steam pressure rises sharply.

  (2) If it is discovered and handled in a timely manner, it will cause the boiler safety door to operate.

  (3) The boiler water level drops instantaneously and then rises, and the high water level signal alarms. When the safety door returns to its seat, the water level drops rapidly, which may cause a low water level signal alarm.

  (4) If the power transmission switch is tripped, the ammeter of each auxiliary machine swings abnormally and the lighting flashes.

2. Reasons for the sudden drop in steam boiler load

  (1) The external circuit switch tripped.

  (2) Emergency shutdown of the turbine.

  (3) Isolation valve or main valve core is off.

3. Steam boiler solutions

  (1) According to the instructions of the steam drum water level meter, steam and feed water flow meter, the feed water is automatically changed to manual, and the water level is adjusted in time.

  (2) According to the load drop and steam pressure rise, turn off the air intake and air supply in time, stop the grate, keep the boiler not extinguished, and turn on the superheater to drain.

  (3) Adjust the desuperheating valve in time to make the steam temperature normal.

  (4) If it is found that the treatment is not done in time, the pressure exceeds the operating pressure of the safety door, and the safety door does not operate, the Stokes exhaust steam electric door should be opened until the normal pressure.

  (5) Be prepared to pick up the load, and report back to the squad leader and duty leader.

  (6) After the accident, check the condition of the operated safety door to see if it is tightly closed.

The steam boiler is a pressure vessel and operates at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. The boiler operator must strictly implement the requirements of the national standard to operate the boiler to ensure safe and stable operation.
