This year, Harbin City plans to realize the "clearing" of 5 coal-fired boilers (3 units) of less than 35 steam tons in the urban built-up area and 10 steam tons or less in the county (city) Chengguan town built-up area;
480 coal-fired boilers below 10 steam tons outside the built-up area will be eliminated.
There are 28 coal-fired power plants with transformation conditions and 93 coal-fired boilers of 65 steam tons and above in urban built-up areas, all of which have achieved energy saving and ultra-low emissions.
Up to now, 281 small coal-fired boilers in the built-up area of the county-level city of Suihua City have been eliminated, and 9 regional heating boilers of 65 steam tons and below at the city level have taken the lead to clear all of them. Among them, 27 small coal-fired boilers have been eliminated outside the built-up areas of county-level cities, completing 72% of this year's total tasks. 56 coal-burning facilities have been eliminated in the city’s urban built-up areas, completing 98% of the total tasks. Three ultra-low emission retrofits of coal-fired units have started, and all retrofits are expected to be completed by the end of October. The replacement of coal-burning by rural households with biomass to replace 23,000 households is in full implementation. By the end of the year, the amount of coal burning will be reduced by approximately 360,000 tons.
