Jiangsu Finance awarded 400 million yuan in coal reduction award to ensure completion of coal reduction target

Reducing the total amount of coal consumption is an important part of winning the battle to defend the blue sky and the battle against pollution, and is a powerful means to optimize the industrial structure and energy structure. In order to support the completion of the “13th Five-Year Plan” coal reduction target task issued by the state, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance, together with the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, issued a coal reduction work award of 400 million yuan to further promote coal reduction.
It is reported that in 2017-2018, the province's coal reductions exceeded the provincial target. In order to ensure the completion of the “13th Five-Year Plan” coal reduction target task issued by the State in Jiangsu, the Provincial Finance Committee and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission have studied and promulgated the “Jiangsu Provincial Measures for Reducing Total Coal Consumption”, which is based on the completion of local coal reduction target tasks. From 2017 to 2019, the Provincial Finance has allocated 700 million yuan of awards and replenishment funds, which will be used by all localities for the integration and shutdown of major coal-consuming projects, "coal to gas", and clean energy substitution, which are directly related to energy structure adjustment. In terms of supporting the elimination and upgrading of coal-fired boilers, the provincial finance has allocated 2.2 billion yuan in provincial environmental protection guidance funds (air pollution prevention and control) from 2016 to 2019.
