Recently, the first phase of the first sludge-coupled power generation project in Southwest my country was officially put into operation at the Luohuang Power Plant of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. The project is a national-level technological transformation pilot project. The disposable domestic sludge accounts for nearly one-third of the total domestic sludge generated in Chongqing every year.
The project is jointly developed by Luohuang Power Plant and Chongqing Water Affairs Group. It includes a sludge drying system and an in-plant supporting system. The urban domestic sludge can be heated and crushed and then sent to the boiler for combustion and power generation. Pollutants such as odor and waste water are fully enclosed and harmlessly treated to achieve no leakage of pollutants throughout the process. It is understood that the first-stage project that has been put into operation has a processing capacity of 600 tons/day, which can dispose of nearly 200,000 tons of domestic sludge per year, increase biomass power by 49 million kilowatt hours, and increase external heating by 174,000 tons, bringing comprehensive The benefit exceeds 10 million yuan. At the same time, the project has achieved remarkable results in energy saving and consumption reduction, which can save 14,800 tons of standard coal and reduce 41,400 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
The sludge coupling power generation project is an important practice for Huaneng to fulfill the social responsibility of a central enterprise. The project uses the mature incineration power generation technology and ultra-low pollutant emission technology of thermal power plants to realize the “harmless, reduction, resource utilization and large-scale” disposal of urban domestic sludge, which not only provides for the stable operation of urban sewage treatment plants Strong support has also made positive contributions to Chongqing's victory in the fight against pollution and the protection of the Yangtze River.
